Book Review: You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero
Hello! Today, I’m here with a super quick book review! Today’s review is on Jen Sincero’s You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life.*
This book is great if you’re going through a major change in your life and need some direction and inspiration to help you through it. It doesn’t contain any new information that hasn’t come up before in other personal development books, but this one delivers it in a user-friendly format. The language isn’t difficult, and I found it to be a quick read. There was a healthy amount of sarcasm, humor, and wit, as well as some crass language. If you’re not into books that swear, this is not the one for you.

My 2016 intentions (and why I no longer make resolutions)
Yes, I know, we’re almost done with the first month of 2016. Why talk about resolutions intentions now?
Well, as you may know from my first post, my life has dramatically changed in the past two weeks. I started the year resolving to do the following: [Read more…] about My 2016 intentions (and why I no longer make resolutions)
The beginning of something wonderful
Hi everybody! This is my first post in what I hope will become an amazing part of my life!
First, a little bit about me:
My name is Alisha and I’m a 29 year old music teacher. I have a wonderful husband (and fellow music teacher) a chinchilla, Chalupa, and two dogs, Norm and Cliff.
Throughout my life, I’ve had the chance to learn so many different skills. My mom taught me to never stop learning and that I could do anything if I set my mind to it. She passed away just a couple of weeks ago, and I want to do something to honor her. She taught me so much, and I want to pass that on. I don’t want all of that knowledge to die with her.
I love to read, write, listen to music, cook, bake, and travel. I hope to travel outside of the country someday soon. I’m hoping to develop my crochet and sewing skills in the near future–my mom tried to teach me, but like most kids, I thought I knew better and didn’t listen. I enjoy DIY projects around the home and am hoping to complete quite a few this year.
Please take some time to poke around, read my About Me page, and get to know me a bit! If you’d like to, subscribe to my (future) newsletter! I won’t share your info with anybody, I promise.
