Hello, March! With the start of the new month, I thought I’d do a quick recap about my goals for February and outline my goals for March:
In February, my goals were simple: I wanted to improve my health by not eating out as much and walking my dogs. I wanted to develop a posting schedule of at least 2 posts per week. I wanted to research garden ideas.
Here’s how I fared:
- Improve my health: I did not meet this goal. We ate out far too much this month (to the tune of like $800) and I didn’t walk the dogs 4 times.
- Develop a posting schedule: I not only started posting twice this week, but I started an editorial calendar and already have posts scheduled into May that I can’t wait to share! Some get pretty deep and personal, so stick around. 🙂
- Research garden ideas (or actually start my garden): I did very minimal work on this goal. I have an idea in mind, but I don’t actually have something planned out. Perhaps that’s something I can work out in my BuJo?
I’d give that a 1.5/3 for the month. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible. I know where I went wrong, and that’s the biggest thing.
For March, I want to:
- Spend no more than $160 this month on eating out: We’re horrible with eating out and have had $600+ months for a while now. $160 lets us go to our favorite restaurant 4 times (they currently have a special until 3/20 that would allow us to stretch our budget to 6 times!) and I think that’s more than enough. We spend enough in groceries already; it’s about time we used them up in a month!
- Stick to a budget using YNAB: I finally decided to start using YNAB (You Need A Budget). I’ve already got March set up and ready to go in the program, the app installed on both of our phones, and my husband prepared to do his part to help us out financially. We can do this!
- Continue to improve my health: I want to eat at home, walk my dogs, and read books that will help my mental health. I want to better myself from the inside out.
Wish me luck! What are your goals for March? How did you do in February? Let me know in the comments!
