If I won the lottery…
Winning the lottery. We all have dreamed of what it would be like, haven’t we? As years have gone by, my plans for my nonexistent winnings have shifted a bit, but they all focus on debt reduction and freedom for me and those I love.

July Goals!
Hello! Another month has begun, and with it comes some goal-setting. This is my last month of break before I go back to work on August 1 (professional development), so I plan to make it a good one. Here are my July goals:
- Finish planning for the school year: a teacher’s job doesn’t end in June! I’ve got everything almost ready, but I need to have my new rules/consequences posters printed/laminated, laminate 180+ folders for the kids, and prep for my first week back. I’ve done a lot of tweaking of my rules, consequences, and procedures over summer and I hope they work. 🙂
- Continue with keto and losing weight: Mike and I are on our 14th straight day of keto eating and we’re both down a few pounds each so far. Our goal is to get to 100 days.
- Enjoy my last month of my 20’s: Yes, I turn 30 in early August! I plan to enjoy myself this month and finish this decade strong. We’re taking two overnight trips and planning some things around town, like going to the zoo! Apparently we have a cool new African safari exhibit that’s a hit with zoo visitors and I’d love to see it. I also get to renew my driver’s license in person instead of by mail (how fun–NOT).
- Finish and double my “30 books before 30” list: I’m currently on book #57 (A Game of Thrones) and hope to get 60 books under my belt by the 31st. I’ve got this!
What are your goals for July? What do you have planned for this month?
